3 Tips To Drive Offline Traffic Online. | Search Engine Marketing ...

Help Me Help You.

I dealt with a client many moons ago who was in the real estate business. They were all about SEO, all about Internet Marketing, all about PPC (pay per click) which was music to my ears. But, (there is always a but?) they were not willing to do anything on their end to drive traffic to their web site offline.

After landing the client, I was driving downtown Orlando where I kept seeing their commercial real estate signs all over town, the signs had the basics, the phone number, the broker contact name, the company name, etc.. It was missing one key vital bit of information. The web site address. They had taken the time and money to create these brand new signs to match their brand new web site, but overlooked the web URL. Oooops.

In 2012, people visited 10.7 places before they made a purchase. Your marketing plan should be attentive to WHERE those 10.7 places are. It?s imperative, in today?s marketing climate to BE everywhere your consumers are. They ARE online, they are on LinkedIn, they are on Google using the search box, they are on their mobile cell phone or tablet, etc.. Here are three quick tips you should consider to drive offline traffic online.

1.) Signage.

As the above example shows, adding your URL / web site address to signage is mission critical. Folks may take a photo of your sign with their smart phone, or jot it down quickly to check out your offerings down the road.

2.) EMAIL Signature

This is a great place to add your URL / Facebook address / LinkedIn profile address, etc.

3.) Bills / Invoices / Letterhead.

Your web site can be a great customer service portal, be certain to give your clients a place where they can get issues resolved, etc., listing your URL / web site address on your bills, checks, letterhead, etc., can cut down on inbound phone calls, etc..
